The customer has an ACS 6.0 with small voice messaging pc card

The customer wants any call coming in on Line 2 to go directly to voicemail box 10.. They don't want this line to be picked up by autoattendent and they don't want it to ring either since their Vendors call in on that line

How can I program the system to do this? Thanks

#206, group 7, line 02, 3 vms cover line.

#208, line 2, data = "extension number"

#310, "ext number" , 1 assigned

#321, ext number, number of rings before the mailbox picks up

Thanks 1043, Thats awesome.. I'll call the customer tommorow and give that a try..

You can also tell the customer they can have employees call in on that number, press *8XX ( XX= ext number) to transfer themselves to an ext, avoiding the receptionist if she answers all calls. I have heard it called a back door number, and it frees up the receptionist to answer customer calls.
I often suggest to customers who want all their customer calls to be answered by a live person to set up a back door VM box like this, or another auto attendant on seperate lines from the customer service lines. Then tell them to give the second hunt group or line telephone number to anyone who they write checks to, so the main line stays open to customers. I sometimes set up those lines to be the first in auto line slection, so the customer lines are not busy with outgoing calls. With people whom my customer is their customer, they can call back if it is busy.
It also can create a need for more VM ports, upgrade VM to add more AA's, line ports, or more lines if your company sells or resells telco services. I do not mean to sell them something they do not need, but most customers do not know what can be done unless you tell them.
