I am running a Compaq Prosignia PII 450 and just blasted the hard drive. Put a clean install of Win98 and then tried to upgrade to Win98SE. After doing so I am getting this error "vnetbios.vdx" I am not sure if there is any easy repair that will take care of this.

The problem started when I took a partitioned 10gB HD and made it one large partition. Did I do ssomething wrong in re-formatting or fdisking to cause the error?

Thank you in advance

I have tried Comtech's fix, but couldn't find vnetbios.vxd in my Windows 98 CD-Rom. Any ideas?

I beg your pardon Comtech. Your fix does work!

I had selected "browse" by mistake, rather than typing in the file name (vnetbios.vxd) to extract. Once I got that right, it worked fine. Thanks for your help.

Best Regards
