Dear All,

We have Vm Pro Running one PC, now we need to install VM - PRO to another pc, My worry is already Auto attendant & Q message is running,

When we load the VM pro & copy the MDB files it will copy the wav files also or we need to record whole thing again

Pls advice me

Thanks
DS

you will need to copy your custom wav files from the old machine to the new one.

Also do not for get to save & make live when you load the MDB file to create the Root.vmp file that the VM service uses (or just copy that from the old machine as well)
you may also want to copy the greetings & Names directories otherwise your useres will have to re-record their greetings

Hi IP GURU, Thanks for the advice,

can you pls guide me where these cutome wav files are present & how to copy it back to new machine.
( Mainly for AA & Q message wav files)

Regards
DS

These are usually stored under c:\program files\avaya\ip office\voicemail pro\vm\wavs

I have always copied the vm folder from the old install to the new install and after importing the mdb. Is this not a good way of preserving the current VM setup when upgrading or moving VM?

If you use the backupreg.bat and restorereg.bat (and the resulting *.arf files in the windows\temp-directory of backupreg.bat) then all preference settings (intuity/ipoffice, smtp-ipadres enz) are also transferred from the original PC to the other.
