VM Box

I'm trying to create a VM box for the new Sarbanes-Oxley polices. I want a extension with DID setup to go to vm, then notify the compliance officer's ext.

I've created the vm box, but not successful in the notification of another extension. I don't want it forwarded to the officer, but to just notify him that there are messages.

Any ideas?

Try using a Hunt Group mailbox.

Create a hunt group with just one member (whoever it is who is actually meant to take the calls or answer the messages) and route the DID calls to that group.

For your compliance officer, add Hgroupname to their Source Numbers tab in the IP Office config.

The compliance office will then receive message waiting indication whenever there is a new message in the group mailbox.

!ust remeber to add a Hgroupname entry to whichever user is meant to be collecting the messages also.
