Visual Web Developer not opening .vbproj file

If anyone if familiar with Visual Web Developer... I am unable to open an existing VS.NET 2005 solution that contains .vbproj files. It complains that .vbproj software is not installed. What could be causing this?

Try using the Open Website option and point at the folder you're files are contained in.

I did that, it gives me conversion wizard, when I go through it shows the same error, .vbproj files could not be opened

If you are getting the conversion wizard, you must be opening a version of the site that uses an older version of the framework. I'm not sure that the wizard will work 100% in all cases so you may have to do some manual conversion yourself. I'd suggest starting a new project and import the files one at a time.

Mark, do you know why visual web developer is not creating bin folder for the code behind of the aspx pages? My code behid bages reference base classes, and their own code behind but when I try to build in express I get a million of errors that types do not exist

It won't create the bin folder and relevant DLL's if you have errors as it can't compile.
