I am having trouble with Visual Voice. This is 8.1.69, using VM Pro on a Linux App Server (DL 120 G7 Server). I imported the users from a CSV file and am wondering if that's the source of my problem. Here's the issue, the users want to have their Visual Voice password protected. Typically, all you have to do is remove the VXXXX number from the source numbers and you're good to go. I checked on the users and they didn't have a Source Number populated even though VM is on for their phone and when the Message button was pressed it will go directly into VM without prompting for a Passcode (even though the source number is gone for that user). I put the Source Number in and merged, then removed it and Merged and when the Message button is pressed, it still goes directly to Visual Voice. So I then tried to remove the extension and user and re-build and still the same problem. Thoughts?

The message button will always go straight into the VM Box.
What you can try is to go in VM Pro client and in the default Collect action add a $ as a PIN Code in the Start action. It forces the user to enter their VM Code before they can proceed.

Intuity will ask for password, but VV never allows you to go to another MB; can only see HG MB that you are members off with source numbers.

Also, if you don't initialize your MB through *17 on Intuity, it will never play the greeting you record through VV. It will be there, but won't play, until you go through the change passcode/record name steps of *17.

The only way that would happen, without some weird bug, is if the user does not already have a passcode on the mailbox. I just tested it. No passcode, no source, vv works without passcode. With passcode, no source, it prompts for passcode. Users need to dial *17 to setup their mailbox first anyhow. They will be prompted to setup name/passcode. Do that.

Star for you AACon because you actually did what techs do and just take 5 minutes and test it and then take the time and post the result.

Well, I am a tech, so...thanks!
