Visual Studio.NET 2003 Professional and Crystal Reports

Hi All,
Im new to Crystal Reports. My questions concerns Visual Studio.NET 2003 Professional and its built in Crystal Reports module.

Does you need to by a copy of Crystal Reports Developer (or some other package) to generate reports if you already have Visual Studio.NET 2003 Professional?

Which platform for designing and publishing the reports is more robust and scalable? Visual studio.net or one of the independent Crystal Reports packages or both together?
