I am a VB programmer and I am looking to buy Visual Studio 2005 but I would like your opinion on wether to buy

Visual Studio Professional Edition
or
Visual Studio Standard Edition

Which should I buy? What is professional so much more expensive than the standard version?

Thanks in advance,
RotorTorque :)

If you search microsoft.com at the visual studio or development(?) sections you will see the feature list of the editions. I think that i will be able to give you the link later on. But give it a search.

You think the Professional Edition is expensive try taking a look at the Team System editions!

I found both the Professional and Standard Editions for a low cost in Ebay, but they are both "educational" versions. Do you all know if the "educational" versions have limited capabilities?

I have both the full Pro version and the Educational version and they are the same. The only difference I can see it the educational version has licensing restrictions.
microsoft.

You're welcome, I should also mention that I got my academic version for free last year when I took a class at my local community college. Microsoft has an academic program through schools where registered students can download academic software for free. (vs.net, sql server, vista, etc.)

Free software and a good class for under $100.00, a pretty darn good deal.
