I have managed to get my project and properties windows docked to the top (all the way across the top) of my visual basic window instead of the sides. How do I get this back to the way it used to be ? I can undock the window and put it where I want it but then its in the way. If I change the property on the right click menu to dockable and try to dock it to the side it won't but it will dock to the top. I've tried resizing it when it's not docked but nothing seems to work.

Thanks,
Laura

When it is docked :

Left click and hold it at the blue lane where also is the caption of the window. Move the mouse to the edges of the screen; up, down, right or left. Then release the click.

heh, yeah, that is one thing that definitly improved in the new 2005 version... Docking has little arrows to drag over ;-)

As far as Ver 5 & 6 go...
Just pay attention to the shape and thickness of the window while you drag it...
It can be tricky at times...
A thin border means it is trying to dock...

Cool, thank you, I feel so stupid I knew it was a simple fix. I (almost) tried that last night, I went pretty close to the edge with the left side of the window just not far enough and I had no clue how I ended up like that in the first place.

Thanks again.

Ya'll did so great with that lets take it one step further,

How do I get the windows to not take up the entire side of the screen. If I try to dock my project and properties windows on the right side of the screen, they dock next to each other because they take up the whole "vertical" side of the screen instead of they way the do when you first install VB.

Thanks,
Laura

Drag the project window on top of the blue title bar of the properties window and drop it there.
