what the differance between the learning edition and the pro one? i can save myself 50$ on the learning one, is it worth it?

I haven't used the learning edition, but most features should be there. If you are going to write commercial applications, you shouldn't purchase it because you would violate the license agreement. Rob Marriott

Depends what you want to use it for. Basically, as you move up thru VB from Learning to Professional to Enterprise, the database functions increase.

Tho have you thought of buying the licence for Visual Studio 6, like I did? Think I paid about £70 for VB, VC++, VJ++, VFoxpro, VInterDev, all the MDSN help, FrontPage, VSourceSafe and all sort of other stuff! Has been well worth the investment!

The main differences, I believe, are that the learning edition won't let you create databases or create .exe files. Other than that, I believe they are about the same.

My mistake. I was thinking of the Working Model Edition, which is identical to the Learning Edition EXCEPT that the Learning Edition CAN create .exe files whereas the Working Model CANNOT.
