Vista/IE7 extremely slow browsing internet

Is anyone else experiencing extreme slowdowns while browsing the web using Vista RTM and IE7 ?

Some websites take almost 10 minutes to display - others work fine.

I have turned of Phishing filtering as I read that was causing some slowdowns...The same websites work fine on my XP with IE7 machines...are there any settings to change or options to modify to help things - or is it just the price to pay for using the new OS ?

No problems here. Do you have an example & is it repeateable - ie: is website A always slow & website B always normal?

The one I had a real bad time with today is:

-- then click the logon link....it would take 10 minutes to come up, but on my XP box, it came up right away....

Your logon link seems to take ages (I gave up waiting) to resolve here with IE7. The link is actually

https://www6.tudesktop.com/TUDesktop/Jsp/login.jsp

All the other links on the page resolve instantly as does the opening page itself.

I was wondering if it was something with https vs http....I seem to have more issues with https sites....although not all of them....I'll keep working at it...

using Vista RTM IE7 and it opened allmost instantly..Phishing is OFF. but login (i really hope your not paying for this...) Login has major problems..even on my XP ...
