Vista Basic user profile

I'm getting User profile Service service failed to logon.
the big problem is that it is my admin profile, otherwise I'd just delete it.

how can I fix this without loosing Admin privlidges.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked for other threads that might cover this but didn't really see anything, I hope I just didn't miss it.
