VirusScan 8.5 Install on ePolicy Server

I have installed ePolicy Orchestrator on a server that had McAfee Virus Scan 8.0 installed. I now want to upgrade to 8.5i on that server but when I run the install it failed with the message...

This installation cannot continue until the ePO management Agent is of version 3.6 or higher.

How can I install McAfee Virus Scan 8.5i on this server?

I presume you're using EPO 3.6.1. You'll need to download the EPO Agent V3.6 (EPO 3.6 comes with agent 3.55) from the McAfee website and install on EPO first (and all PCs). Vscan 8.5 will not install without it. Try serchinng the McAfee knowledge base using your error message and it should reveal all - it did for me. (McAfee support were not very helpfull!!!!)

I have the same problem but can't seem to be getting the updated agent, even if I run the agent creation wizard, help.
