Hi all,

We're looking at seeting up machines with XP Pro as the main OS, but with Windows Server 2003 as the guest OS. Has anyone tried this?

My main question is regarding the memory requirements. The US are suggesting 2Gb RAM, but I was wondering if anyone knew if this would make a great deal of difference over a machine running 1Gb. Does Virtual PC or XP handle 2Gb in a way that makes much of a performance difference?

Many thanks in advance.

You can allocate between Host and Guest OSs up to 4 gb.
And yes it makes a difference.

Windows 2003 is not official supported, not is any server OS officially supported as a Guest OS.

But many have done it.
