Hi -
I am running Windows 2003 server (trial edition). Everytime when I open a document, let's say MS Word that about 15Mg. The system seems slow down. That affects everytime when I try to make somechange to my document, it took a while for the system to write down something to the hard drive.
My testing machine is 1.8Ghz with 1GB of RAM. It has 2 hard drives but not RAID. I set:
1. Processor Scheduling to Background Services
2. Memory Usage to System Cache
3. Virtual Memory for each drive to 1024MB
This machine will be used as a shared document storage for my function. I can understand that the document will be opened at the client side. But once the server that has 1GB still has a problem, the client machine should have the same problem.
I don't know enouhg of how to set this right. If there is anyone could give me a good advise, hat would be much appreicate.
Thanks in advance.
