In the past when I have set up a virtual ext. that needs to be transferred to a cell I have created a virtual ext. within the NAM and then recorded an ALT message with no retention that advised the caller "I am taking all calls on my cell phone please press 7 to be transferred to my cell".

Then I flash the line and dial the number call transferred, end of story.

I wanted a faster way to get the call to the cell. For example, the call is answered by the AA, the caller dials the 3 digit virtual ext ( 301 ) then the CCR does a flash, dials the cell call s transferred, end of story.

Is this possible? If so who would program this?

yes, can you please but the programming for this in the?

Simply create a transfer path like you would if you wanted the CCR to transfer to an extension. Except instead of selecting INT as the destination choose EXT, then put in the same string you were using in the dial 7 mailbox. Record instructions in the CCR menu path that leads to the transfer node.

Example:
Path 0; "Press 1 to reach Joe Blow"
Path 1; Transfer EXT to dialing string of Jow Blow's Cell phone.

You can get fancy and nest the menus.
1. For a Sales Menu, 2. For Service Desk, 1.1 for Joe Blow, 1.2 for Jane Doe.

I was hoping to use a 3 digit extension for example they would call reach the auto attendant dial extension 311 of the pathway would be 3 than 1 they had 1 and it would execute a flash of transfer

there are quite a number of sales agents in this would make it easier for me to manipulate the extensions ancillary recording the auto attendant greeting every time there's a change.

Sorry about the mistakes, was using speech to text on my cell.

Here s what I have been able to do successfully with a Partner system Partner Mail.

I set up the node for example for extension 311. I set up 3 as a MENU, then 1 as a SUB-MENU then 1 as another SUB-MENU that then flashes and dials the cell number.

On the NAM I did the same thing but it seems that there is some sort of pause inserted between menus and if the numbers 3,1,1 are entered to fast it says that the extension is invalid. If slow down entering the numbers then it will work.

Do you have any suggestions. The customer wants callers to call into dial an extension and then have the calls sent right out with no further delays, menus or entry required. This would kind of be if I have a wired DN set using REDIRECT or immediate CALL FORWARD.

Unfortunately unless a physical set t connected can not create a DN and REDIRECT a call unless this actually can be done?

Try it

Change an unused port to DN 311

Allow Redirect

Build a route (say 002) adding the cell # and tell it to use pool or what ever your using.

Create a Dest code (say 8) and tell it to use route 001

Plug set in, F4 to 8, unplug, test.

the site is using mics 4.1 and nam 4.1. It works until I un plug the set. Is there any explanation why it won't work with nam 4.1? Any alternative option? Any trick to get the nam to transfer via centrex flash after a 311 is dialed?

is it possible to build a route and destination program designed that will actually route to call out of the system once a 3 digit extension is entered ? for example what if the call was being routed to another mics system in another part of the city wouldn't this be similar?

Like a TIE line or OPX?

I have two systems today that I tried this on.

The first is a 320 DN system that was able to set up an internal DN 8080 ( use to be used for an actual wired set now the person is on cell ) on system B to use ROUTE 080 to dial xxx-xxxx ( cell phone ) via DEST CODE 8080. This worked just fine if dialing from a set on System-B only.

On System-A I was able to set up the same ROUTE 080 but when I tried to set up the same DEST CODE 8080 I got stopped at 808. I could set up a wildcard but that worked on all digits i.e. 8081, 8082, etc. except "8080". Could there be a digit conflict some place that I am missing?

A quick update. I changed the DN 8080 to 8081 and I still could not create a DEST CODE 8080. I thought I might be out of range so I was able to create a DEST CODE of 8082.

I think your out of luck.
If they have a private line or DID then you could use Line Redirection.

Otherwise for the sake of 1 or 2 users just plug in a couple sets in telephone room and restrict them.

okay thank you. On the other system I was working on this weekend I was able to get 2 of the 3 digits for the destination code for example 30 but I could not get the entire destination code 303 to accept any suggestions why that's happening?

Yes but the other end is a target line and received digits are the DN.

yes thank you, that looks like that something Iwould like to do. How cou ld I setup a route and destinations via the auto attendant to transfer a call outside the system ?

I am currently working on a new installation that would need this done for extension 301.

thanks!
