Virtual directory already exist with that name, when it is not visible

Subject: Virtual Directory missing from IIS.
Message: Hi All,
My Virtual Directory(CRI) is missing from IIS MMC all of a sudden. When trying to create the same Alias(CRI), I get the following message in my production server

'A Virtual directory already exist with that name', and creates CRI2 Alias automatically.

Really do not know how it happens, how can I make
my CRI virtual directory visible? in this case?.
It is not allowing me to create a new one also?.

Are there any settings in MMS or anwhere else
where I can remove the hidden Alias and create a
new one?.

How do I handle this?, can some one help me.
