I have controls for which I want to display information at times, but not let the user enter or modify data. Setting the enabled property to false caused the control to be hardly visible. It there a way to disable controls and still have the control be seen. I keep looking for a "disabled backcolor" or something similar.

Thank you,

Carolyn Friedberg

One thing that you can do to handle the visibility problem is to place the control on a frame with no border, and no title/caption, and then disable the frame.

Have you looked into the .locked property. If you set a text box's .locked property to true then no editing is allowed and it looks as it does when it is enabled. Thanks and Good Luck!

Locked works for text boxes but not for option buttons. The control must be visible to display information.

Any suggestions for the option buttons?

Thanks,

Carolyn

Use Cajun's suggestion for the option buttons. Thanks and Good Luck!
