view sites with secured connection

Anytime you enter a site which deals with personal information the connection becomes secure. Anytime that happens I get the "page will not display" page. I run Internet Explorer 5.5(128-bit encryption)

Appreciate any help.

Are you behind a proxy server or firewall?
If so, does this happen on the other computers there?

All of the others here have access to these types of sites. Nobody here knows why. Our tech guy is not present though.

if u have norton internet security or some type of security program and its disabled either enable it or uninstall it. check msconfig and see if anything is unchecked. i had the same problem,

In IE, go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced do you have allow all of the SSLs checked? CJ
