Is it possible for a laptop that is a member of domain A, to go somewhere else, plug into another network and see that OTHER domain in the drop down box WITHOUt ever being joined to that domain OR trust relationship established? I dont see how. I have a user who refuses to accept this, stating that at her previous shop, she would travel to different clients and see their domains from the drop down box.

It is possible for the client to get a browse list in Network Neighborhood (NetBIOS broadcast), which is what she is probably talking about. But seeing is one thing, she still would not have the rights to browse the domain.

The only relevent drop down menu I can think of is when you're logging onto the machine, i.e selecting a domain at startup.

This would only be avaliable if the laptop is already a member of that domain.
