Hi,

Is it possible to view the contents of each user's mailbox from the exchange server console? At times i need to see the email of different users, but not sure if it's possible other than logging on to their machines.

outlook 2003
windows xp sp2

Thank you

No. You can assign access to the mailboxes within ESM, but you'd need to use a client like Outlook to actually see the contents of the mailboxes.

Alternatively you can make yourself a member of the relevant administrator groups in ADUC, which will then give you rights to all mailboxes on your exchange box, rather than giving yourself permissions one at a time in ESM

You would still need an Outlook client to see the messages

ps. You would need to view from a client with outlook, it is not recommended to install Outlook on the Exchange box
