View/Edit Acc2K in Office97

Hi there

An interesting a necessary question I am sure a lot of poeple out there are very qualified to answer. So..

Is it at all possible to view an Access 2000 database from office 97(sp2)?

Or, is it possible to install a ODBC (any other?) driver for access 2000 through which access 97 can access the 2K database?

BTW all this must be doable without having an Access/Office 2K software.

Your ideas and suggestions are most welcome!

You can use Word MailMerge to access data in MSAccess, though I have never tried to use this from 97 into ACC2K.


I guess it will depend on what you want to do, as to what level of coding you will need to go to.
