I have a domain controller running windows 2000 server sp4.
Three days ago, I ralised there was no video so I first changed the monitor and the video card and that did not solved the problem.
I then replaced the 512mb memory with even I gb and it worked.
This morning, the monitor is black again and cant see anything but I can browse and ping that machine from any machine on the network.
By the way, the only programme that is running everyday is the screen saver apart from that it simply serves as a back up domain controller and all the fsmo roles are on primary domain controller.
Any idea

I was able to connect through terminal services.
By the way, the problem was the video.
I bought a new 256mb pny tech nvidea video card and a new memory and everything is working fine.
I have been monitoring it since friday and everything is ok; it appeared the video was behaving like cancer spreading to the memory
I did remember that particular kind of video card gave me a similar problem but different symptons last year so I have vowed not to buy that product again.
We learn from lesson.
