Video Card Issue "line issues"

Hello and thanks for anyone who takes the time to respond.

Problem: I have an Leadtek GTS6800 640MB Video card, and I have notice that during gameplay that the games run very normal but every now again I will see a linear line appear and the disappear, does anybody have an idea of what this could be?

All games or just one in particular?

Just one: Bug in software.

All games: Bug in hardware, perhaps a failed memory bit; or could be a buggy driver. Upgrade your DirectX if you haven't already.

With such a new card it could be a bug in the driver or game compatibility.
As has been said.
Latest DirectX
Latest driver off the Nvidia website
Are the games you are playing fully patched

Just a thought: does this anomoly get worse as the system heats up?
Insufficient cooling?
