I'm using VFP7 SP1. I started to get C0000005 fatal errors for no apparent reason while making forms. This happened a few times, now it's stopped, but every time I try to open a form to edit it, it takes ages - like a minute - to open.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled VFP, and the service pack but it's still happening.

Has anyone met this problem, or got a solution.

Thanks

John

What OS and how much memory do you have on your workstation? Also, what else do you have "running" normally when you are developing? (Virus checkers are notorious for causing problems, depending on version and configuration.)

The problem you described can occur in combination with some controls on your form wich are bound to data in the data environment.

Questions:
- Do you use the on design time data environment?
- Tables or views added to the on design time data environment have they be changed since added to it?(if so, remove and add it to the environment)?
- The fields added to the controlsource of the controls, do they still exist?

I hope it will help,

Charl

Thanks for the suggestions, but the problem has boiled down to a network problem. Another protocol had been added to my machine (don't ask why, but there was a lively exchange of views), unbinding the new protocol has fixed the problem.

Thanks
