I perform a CFINSERT which performs without error. I then go and open my VFP database, however a get a file access denined when i try to open the VFP. I actually have to reboot. I can then get into the database and see that indeed my CFINSERT addded the data correctly. Obviously i do not want to reboot each time to see that my data has been added. What is causing this error or serious lag time in writing to my database. Hass anyone seen anything like this before? Are my ODBC seetings correct. Obviously they are if my data inserted correctly

If you are using VFP to directly access a database that Cold Fusion is accessing through ODBC, that's a problem, at least it has been. If you are going to access a DB through the ODBC on the server, all access to that DB has to be through the server's ODBC.

What I do is copy the DB from the server to my local drive, then open the copy directly.
