We have just received a new app from the development guys, written in VFP 6.0.
Problem is, that this app was really written with Win 2k P ro in mind(as the OS). The receipts are written to a custom page type created in Start|Settings|Printers|File|Server Properties, where you can set the Height and Length of the custom form that you choose to create.
In Win 98SE, it is a little different; there is no "Server Properties", just "Properties" and when you create a custom form, you can't save it as, say, "Receipt".
In other words, you couldn't have more than one 'Custom Form'
The next thing is the measurements are in fractions of a mm or fractions of an inch.
We currently have 85 PCs that have a typical configuration of :
300 MHz Processor
4.0 GB H/D
Is there an updated version of the Epson LX 300+ Win 98SE driver that emulates the behaviour of the Window 2000 one?
Can the Win2k driver be installed and run successfully on Win98SE?
Does anyone out there have any experience similiar to mine and any solution?
