very very slow

Anyone know why it is very very slow(loading personal settings) when loggin onto a win 2000 domain using xp??

Are you using roaming profiles? If so how big is your profile if you have a very large profile it could take time to load. Also could be loading of Policies to your computer from the DC.

if you are using roaming profiles, try to store the profile on the machine you log on most, this will stop your settings being dragged over your network everytime you log on.
