Hi all:
I have a problem with my SQL Server 7.0 Enterprise Edition. I have a Cluster with an Active/Pasive configuration and this cluster has a HP Tape DLT80 system backup.
The problem is that when I try to restore a database of 26GB overwriting or as a new database in this cluster this task takes 3.5 hours and it should take 1.5 hours that is the time that takes in a non cluster servers.
The question is WHY this unnecessary time?
Have anyone of you this problem?
The cluster server is a Dell with 8 Pentium III Xeon processors per node and the other servers is a Dell with 4 PIII xeon procesors or an HP with 2 PIII xeon processors.
The backup system is the same for all systems (the same model) a HP Tape DLT80 backup unit.
If one of you could help me or response I would be a very happy DBA.
Thanks for all.
(In Microsoft dont know nothing to resolve this problem.)
