hey guys-

i'm kind of new to the clustering environment as well and i have a question regarding patching MSCS's Virtual Servers. our network was just audited for security purposes and a lot of issue came up with with my Virtual Servers since they did a scan by NetBIOS and IP. does my virtual servers need to be patched? i personally don't think so because it's going off of my physical servers-which needs to be patched. am i right or am i wrong about this issue?

thanks in advance..

No, virtual worlds on a MCSC cluster do not need to be patched. If the host OS is patched you are all set.
