Vertical scrollbar position

I don't think this is possible but I'll ask anyway!

It is possible to get the position of the browser windows vertical scrollbar from within server side code?

You can load the scroll position into a hidden field via javascript then read its value on the server, but such infromation is not sent by default hence the server has no way of knowing without a little extra work.
