I'm giving verity a whirl for the first time, so I've got a few questions.

When searching an index of website files (.htm, .cfm, etc..) is there any way to select which areas to search? (i.e. title, body)

And when indexing, or after indexing. Is there a way to remove single files from the index, like files that would require a form variable to fuction properly.

P.S. I don't have access to the coldfusion administrator.

thanks

You can index and search the results of a query. This is useful for things like bulletin board messages. I use this for my document collection, too. I have the title and description in the database and index the results of a query for that information. (the document ID, too.) I then search that collection. This will, of course, only search title and description, but it's better than nothing. (I'm working on a full text seach) Calista :-X
