Hello all,

I'm doing a simple install of Veritas Backup Exec 10 on a Dell server running 2003 server standard at a clients site. I put in the cd and go to installation. I select to run the pre check and it tells me I am not logged in with a domain admin account. I am logged on to the server as Administrator on their domain. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to see me as an admin on the domain. I even created a new user as a domain admin and I still get this message.
Any thoughts on what might be going on here?

Are you on the actual server that you are doing the install?

If so, try this as a test....login as a domain admin and try to access a file on another computer within the domain. Make sure the file is not a shared file.

If you can't access another computer on the domain, then you are logged in as a local admin.

When you have AD installed on a machine running 2003 server you can only log in as a domain admin. There is no local login.
