I just recently put together another computer, an everything is working ok except when it boots up, I get a screen that says "Verifying DMI Pool Table..." I believe... and the system just hangs.

I believe it might be a hardware problem? Anyways, I changed CMOS battery to a new one, cleared the CMOS, and a few other things that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas? The motherboard is an old Spacewalker Mainboard Shuttle AV11.

Thanks in advance.

My heart goes out to you and I'm going to point you in the right direction. Please read these threads:

602-341815

You should be able to solve the problem by acting on the info in those threads, otherwise a new longest thread record beckons.

Thanks. I got it too work, I have no idea how though. I've seen this problems tons before and never really have came across a solution, a real one anyways. After I put in the new battery, I reinstalled slackware again, made some minor adjustments here an there, it worked. : shrug :
