Hi
how can I tell what service pack is installed on the server?

You will have to navigate to program files\veritas\backup exec\nt

I generally look at bengine.exe and beremote.exe

You will have to look at the file data then right click and look at the version.

Then goto support.veritas.com and navigate to software update for Backup Exec 9.1 You will have to look at each service pack or hotfix release and look at the technote for it. It will tell you what files it change and you can determine what you have .

Veritas UPdate should be installed and this may help as well.

Backup Exec 10 they have added a feature in help - about that displays the installed update/hotfixes
