Quick and easy question for all of you for my fist foray into TekTips....

I have a Vector here with a few route-to steps:

06 route-to number 00155484866# with cov y if unconditionally
07 stop
08 route-to number 00416488668464# with cov y if unconditionally
09 stop
10 route-to number 000654184654658 with cov n if unconditionally

can someone tell me what function the # at the end of the route to number performs? I have used route-to statements for years but have never seen this method. I've been trawling through forums and documentation but have had no luck finding anything!

Thanks in advance!

The '#' indicates End-of-Dialing. If you are doing international calls where the number of digits can vary, rather than wait for the inter-digit timer to expire, the '#' sign sends the call on its way. When you are dealing with a fixed digit length, Min=11, Max=11, the switch knows when dialing will end so the '#' is not needed.
