This one is just catching up to us now.

I've got a handful of users on Windows 2000 Server and Professional running our VFP 2.6a application. Only a hadnful are reporting the existance of VDM temp files. Obviously, these are related to the NTVDM in Windows, but how? These files have propegated to the point of collapsing (crashing) the application. I have not been able to reproduce the files in our test enviornment, and I'm not seeing it across the board.

Any help would be exremely appreciated.

Sorry...I was keying a bit too fast...it's FPW 2.6a, not VFP (we're working on getting there)

If you are on a Netware server, these files show up when using 16-bit apps from the server. Fixed in Netware client 4.83 sp2.

I was running an application called Chim which was written in foxpro 2.6. Every morning I'd see hundreds of tmp files on my server. I found the problem to be that the users did not have "delete" permissions on the disk, they had read, write and modify, but after the program attempted to delete the temp files, it wouldn't alert the user, but it would not be able to delete any file from that directory. I gave the users delete permission, and haven't seen a temp file since!
