Well, i am 18, and i love networking, computers etc.. but i have 1 problem. I cant program, i swear its some kind of learning disability i have. I am SO BAD AT MATH its not even funny. But i really need to learn some programming if i am to become a network administrator. VBScript seams promising, because i know you cant run a very efficient large network without login/logout scripts.

So, do you agree that vbscript is the way to go? Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but i did not see a general programming thread.

If any of you have any suggestions to steps i may take to learning C or Vbscript or something.. it would be great

Thanks

Jeremy

Hello Gibbs!

As stated by Kob3, we're here to help. If you are looking to get in to scripting/programming and you are not familiar with such, I recommend that you do start with VB only because it's easy to pick up and learn. In my opinion, it's a very straightforward language that will accomplish a great multitude of tasks. JScript or other may have slightly more functionality, but for beginners, VB is the way to go.

Logic and design is the foundation of all languages. If you can conquer this aspect, then the rest is simply syntax.

Good luck!
