VBA comment bug?

Hi I was just wondering. It seems like there's actually a bug in Excel. Example: hiding all columns but A,B,C
entering like values: 1-6 on rows 1-6. Then add a comment to the cells. You will notice that the formatting of the cells changes when you put your mouse over the cell with comments.
It's simply removed if the cell is selected but that is probably still not the way it's supposed to be.

If this is not a bug please tell me.

I'm not seeing that behaviour - all that happens on my system is that the comment is placed on the left of column C, instead of the usual right. That's to be expected, since Excel can push the comment object off the sheet.

Maybe you screen driver is the culprit.

Ok, forgot to tell that I'm using Excel 2002.
And actually I did not describe it correctly. The formatting changes after removing the mouse pointer from the cell.

And sorry, only if the mouse is moved down or to the left of the sheet, not up or to the right

Just noticed that it's kind of erratic behaviour.

It's just Excel losing track of the screen updating, 'cos the comment can't go in the default place due the columns from D onwards being hidden. So, yes, it's a bug.
