There are some differences. Whether you want to install VBA help, or not, depends on how well you know VB I guess. And how well you can figure out, or intuit, the differences. Obviously any help on coding normal programming operations will be similar.
However, the biggest difference is that VBA Help will contain help on the objects, properties, and methods pertaining to the application object models. IMHO a rather handy thing to have....to put it mildly!
