Well, so far, I've only installed it on my own machine - seems to all work swimmingly (no noticeable differences).
What happens in the longer term remains to be seen. There's a certain body of resistance from my colleagues who remember that they apparently went through hell on earth in reaching SP5, and are reluctant to open themselves to the same again.
My own belief (though I am not an expert on this) is that the only redistributable elements that are replaced by the service packs (ie. things that can end up on your client's machines) are COM objects anyway - and one of the fundamental concepts of COM (I'm told...) is keeping your original interfaces enabled...
I therefore THINK that all should be well, but is that the sound of my P45 in the breeze?
From Microsoft:
"Service packs are cumulative. Therefore, the bugs that are fixed in one service pack are also fixed in later service packs. "
"Two strings walk into a bar. The first string says to the bartender: 'Bartender, I'll have a beer. u.5n$x5t?*&4ru!2[sACC~ErJ'. The second string says: 'Pardon my friend, he isn't NULL terminated'."
My old maths teacher (many years ago) always said RTQ. A case in point, I think!
