Vb using resource file?

HI,
Anyone familiar with using a resource file? For example
compiling a bunch of bitmap files using rc.exe and use them? Can someone give an example of how to make and use it. Also besides just bitmaps and audio files, can I include maybe a flash file or a text file? Thankx in advance.

You shouldnt need to use rc, just use the resource editor add-in in vb.
You can add pretty much anything in a resource file.
look up loadresdata, loadresstring, loadrespicture in msdn and it will tell you all you need to know (mostly)

hey i faced a problem,
i installed MSDN in mys system, along with it ame a sample project for an ATM, it had a resource file which had string tables in many languages, i tried to create a file like that, i was able to build string bits only in english and not in any other language.
i tried using Word to type in french and paste it in the resource file, it simply converted the french words back to gibberish english.

is there a way to overcome this?

And, with alot of bitmaps, watch the size of the EXE bust at the seams.
But there is a way around it...
