VB Runtime installed?

I am building a setup for installing VB runtime.
Is there some easy way of knowing if VB runtime is installed?

For now i am using the method of looking after the file "Msvbvm60.dll" but there must be a better way?

Have a look in the registry under HKLM/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/Visual Basic
