VB.NET Installation Problem

It's a nightmare. I've been trying to install VB.NET since last Wed.

I need it installed on my computer for work. I'm not sure of the problem and either are my co-workers.

It's confusing.


It seems to only not work on my computer.

I've had a list of error problems but the one that comes up the most is "Internal Error. Setup Cannot Complete."

It is rather time consuming of my work day, anyone know any fixes to my problem.

Any help would be great.

Do you have win XP or NT ect? Installing VB.net can be a real headache. I will need more info in order to help though.

What version of .net are you intaslling? does the error message say anything else?

Enterprise Edition Version 2002. No the error message just says "Internal Error"

In order to get that version to install I had to copy all the cd's into a single folder on my hard drive then install it from there. once I did that it worked perfectly. Name the folder VSENARD1, copy the info from all the cd's to it, then try to install. I don't know why, but it was the only way i could install it ont my computer. the other computers installed fine from the cd's. (we hav 9 computers on our home network).

No such luck, I did as you said it copied the files over but at the end it said "Cannot Copy" then canceled.

It didn't even make it past the first disk. It just said "Can't Copy. Process Canceled"

Only thing I can suggest at this point is, if you bought it, call microsoft for help. maybe someone else can tell you more, but that is what worked for me.

Have you recently tried to install anything else and had any problems. Maybe try installing something and see if it work.
