hi all,
what is the best vb books out there...any suggestion for someone who has a very limited exposure to it.
thanks

At the first, I used the "Visual Basic .Net" from hungry mind. It’s good book for the newbie (I think). It is full with pictures that show the process.
After that, I used the “Mastering VB.Net” from Sybex.
On the other hand, you can search at Amazon for it reviews.
Hope this can help U.

I do not seem to find the book on line.Do have the ISBN number for the book by any chance.thanks

Mastering Visual Basic .Net" = ISBN: 0782128777

I don't remember the other one. I'm at office now. I'll inform U later.

If what you want is to learn VB.Net,

try this URL:
I've got a subscription there and don't regret it at all, They have a lot of "easy to follow" video tutorials.

Ok it's not a book, but if what you want is to learn VB.Net (and/or C#, and/or ASP.Net), it's a place you should visit, definitely.

Great Site...

teferi2002, I think you should try this site before buy that book.
Thanks to Mastakilla.

This is not a book but a series of videos. Each set is about $100.00 but you can pay a $30.00 monthly fee and watch whatever you want, whenever you want. They have been a huge help for me. Its I highly recommend them. They have everything from server 2003 to vb.net.

Thanks,

Shannan
