I need some sample code for database connectivity, i've been searching and reading for a while and I need some help in the right direction.

Hi:

I've been reading about programming ADO too. In Programming ADO from Microsoft's Programming Series. It includes a CD with lots of code and samples. The book lists for $49.99...I got it for $19.99 at one of the big book stores. It's been a big help.

Not sure what kind of sample code you're looking for: "Connection Object Properties and Collections?" or "ADO Connection Object Functions?" "ADO Connection Object Events?" Like the spaghetti sauce, "It's in there."

I am in the process of building a website with ASP and Access. I am using windows XP OS. When the asp tries to write into Access 2000, it says "use updateable querry". Is it due to Internet Anonymous user to be defined in the DB. Can anyone help me?

Hi, 2858:

I see that you have logged on one time, so you might not mind if I point you in a better direction.

There are many different forums on You happened to post you question in a thread that does not address your problem. I personally can't help you with either ASP or writing database applications for the web. But I'm sure there are many others who will be able to help.

I recommend:

Log on to tek-tips (Oh, you're here aren't you!)

Find the forum in which you think your question would be most appropriate.

Post your question, in a new thread, not forgetting to insert a descriptive headline (Help!!! just won't do it.) Be as brief and descriptive about your problem as possible. Don't be long-winded like me!

And, when you have had the help you've been looking for, be sure to reward the one(s) you think deserving by giving them a star--click on the link that reads: "Mark this post as a helpful/expert post."

Good luck!
