Variables submit error page

Now this might not be clean php question but it relates to:

I have our intranet setup in php.ini as

http://staff.

The ip address of this box is 192.168.10.10. Everything works fine but I have a page where variables from "text boxes" are POSTed to the following page where a calculation is done with the values. When I use the name "

http://staff/...."

in the browser it works but when I use "

http://192.168.10.10/...."

it sometimes fails and I get page not found. The fact that it sometimes works is a bit odd. Any ideas? Thanks

You don't need eyes to see just the vision because there are always more ways and different answers to what we are used to...

is this "staff" located on the same system? and does ur organisation use some type of proxies? like winproxy in ur intranet?
