Validated parameter lists

I haven't been able to find any postings on the possibility, but I'd love to figure out how to create a validated pick list - the user first picks a category, then the second choice is of subcategaories that are valid for only the category chosen.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately you'd need external code to do this.

Here's a 3rd party product that does that:

Thanks. I figured so, but you don't learn anything unless you ask. Do you have any personal experience with this? A product was recommended to me from Chelsea Tech in New Zealand - it doesn't work and the guy stopped responding to requests for help.

Ido sent me a demo of DataLink. Although, my company would not purchase it due to budget constraints, it is a superior product that is easy to install and use. It can even save the last set of parameter selections a user made on a previous run of the report.
