VAL Issues

Morning all, I'm having an issue with recording announcements on my VAL board. All currently recorded announcements are working fine, but when the Helpdesk tries to change the network status announcement or the cafeteria tries to change their daily menu, they both get waved off. Anyone else experience this before? Thanks In Advance.

Do they have a Class of Service with console permissions on the phone they are recording on?

On the "cha ann" screen, make sure that the protected field is set to N.

It was set to "Y" but they still were unable to change it. I put it on another VAL I just installed so they're good now, but I still need to find out what's going on with this one. Any other suggestions?

If the protected field is set to Y, then the announcement is protected and it can't be changed or overwritten. Change the protect field to "no" for announcements that are changed on the fly.
