I'm setting up my first instance of Utility Server and having a hard time getting the Utility Server to pull stations from the switch (Lab switch CM5.2.1). the login passes the test, and I can see it log in to CM, but it pulls no data when attempting "display stations". Is there anything particular on CM that needs to be configured? The used login already has shell access.

It should be a default Prof 18 profile in CM , try recreating the user also utility has all sorts of flaps regdaing ldap , uninstall the template if possible and start again when all else fails , be patient though test the CM log in , get a succsess , restart the utility vm and seee how you go

test CM login always passes the test. MyPhone interface fails with "Communication Error, Connection to CM Failed

I dont think my phone is supported on 5.2.1 , you could look at the denial events in cm to see if that gives any insight , TBH myphone has been flakey at the best of times

but try this

MBT 5.2.1

User is trying to login to MyPhone interface of MBT. MBT's utility server has an application called MyPhone
User cannot login to the web interface of MyPhone. Error message is error connecting to CM.
Extension and security code used by user are correct
Using same password and ext he can login from a phone.
My Phone Application - new in Avaya, user can add easily make changes in Phone, like changing password.

Problem Clarification
User cannot login to My Phone web interface.

Cause
MyPhone application logs in to CM with a userid MyPhone. MyPhone password was changed by customer from CM.
Solution
Once My Phone password is changed in CM it need to be updated in MyPhone data base.
Access Utility server by IP address of utility server in web interface. Access My Phone Admin under Utilities. Login to My Phone adming and update CM password of Myphone.
